Project Graduation is an all-night, alcohol and drug free celebration for the graduating class, to be held after the graduation ceremony. We will designate a time that all seniors must check in at the Patterson Civic Center. A time for release the next morning will be decided upon at a later date and everyone will be notified.
What is this event so important to our young adults?
Graduates often 'party hop' in their efforts to celebrate with as many of their classmates as possible. Project Graduation provides a safe alternative to party hopping: it keeps all of the graduates off of the roads, prevents any of them from becoming an accident statistic and allows their parents to rest easy knowing their son/daughter is safely celebrating.
When and Where is it held?
We will be holding Patterson Project Graduation at the Patterson Civic Center. Times for check-in have not been determined yet.
Further information will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
Are all members of the graduating class eligible to attend?
In order to attend Project Graduation, students must walk with their class in the graduation ceremony held at PHS on May 21, 2010.
Why do graduates choose to attend Project Graduation?
There are numerous reasons why this celebration is so popular:
- Every attending graduate receives a "goody bag" filled with prizes.
- Every attending graduate has a chance to win numerous fun and exciting prizes
- Project Graduation provides plenty food, snacks, and drinks.
- Music, games, contests, and many other fun activities are all available for those attending.
- Every attending graduate receives a 'Project Graduation' t-shirt that they must wear to enter the Civic Center.
- This is the last time all of the graduates will be together as a class.
How does my senior sign up to attend?
A letter was mailed out during the summer to all Senior parents. Also, during Senior orientation, your child had the opportunity to pick a form up as well. If your child is interested in attending Project Graduation, please send in the registration form, along with a $25.00 check made payable to Patterson Project Graduation. You can either bring it to school and put it in the designated box located in the office, or mail it to Patterson Project Graduation at P.O. Box 1603, Patterson, LA 70392. Don't forget to include your child's t-shirt size on the registration form.
As the parent of one of this year's graduates, how will this affect my family celebration?
There will be time between the ceremony and check-in at the Civic Center for you and your family to have a celebration of your own. Attendees do not have to be at the Civic Center until ** ( a time will be decided and posted at a later date).
